FAQ

  • The mission of Upstream Medicine is to cultivate a space where health is understood as an interconnected, dynamic ecosystem honoring the body, mind, spirit, and our relationship with the natural world. I guide individuals in transforming their symptoms from sources of confusion into clear, actionable insights for healing, empowering them to reconnect with their body’s innate rhythms and desires. Through an intentional integration of ancient wisdom and modern science, we partner to create sustainable, whole-person health and vitality.

  • Upstream embraces a joyful and inclusive approach to care—think of me as your friendly sidekick on the journey to better health. I am here to complement the work of other practitioners you may consult, filling in the gaps of our broken healthcare system with a diverse toolbox of practical, compassionate, holistic, and quantum support. I honor body diversity and practice through a Health at Every Size (HAES) lens offering personalized, compassionate care that meets you where you are.

  • I don’t accept insurance because the traditional medical system isn’t built for the kind of holistic care I provide. Insurance typically covers brief visits focused on quick diagnoses and prescriptions, often requiring practitioners to see dozens of patients a day. This model leaves little room for the deeper, preventative work I do, like functional assessments, nutrition and lifestyle support, and taking the time to truly understand your story. By working outside that system, I’m able to offer care that’s thoughtful, personalized, and rooted in real partnership.

  • During our first session, we will discuss your health history, current concerns, and goals. I’ll listen closely to understand your unique needs and we will work together to develop a personalized plan that supports your physical, emotional, and mental well being. We will also discuss in depth personalized nutrition, stress management, and lifestyle practices as well as go over labs and supplements.

  • Holistic health coaching is ideal if you're seeking a personalized, sustainable approach to health. If you’re ready to explore the root causes of your symptoms, make lasting lifestyle changes, and take a more proactive role in your well-being but would like guidance and a supportive container to help you put the pieces together, holistic health coaching might be a great fit.
